SLML-L Discussion List Commands

Web Interface for the List

You can access the list via the web. There you can subscribe, unsubcribe, view messages, create messages, and review your settings.

The URL for the site is

http://stenosis.wustl.edu/

At the page, click on the SLML Discussion list.

On the next page, click on the slml-l link.

Type in your e-mail address and click on the "Click here to enter slml-l" button. A password is NOT needed.


List Address: Messages to this address will go to everyone subscribed to the list.

slml-l@stenosis.wustl.edu

Administrative Address: Messages sent to this address are commands, such as subscribe, unsubscribe, turning off mail, turning on mail, etc.

listserv@stenosis.wustl.edu


How to subscribe to SLML-L

Send an e-mail message to the Administrative Address.

Leave the Subject field blank.

In the body of the message, type: subscribe slml-l YourFirstName YourLastName.

You will receive an e-mail acknowledgment of your subscription.Save this message. In it will be the most useful command for this list.

Do not send subscription message to the List Address. It won't work.

How to send a message to the entire list.

Send the message to the List Address. Don't send it to the Administrative Address.

How to unsubscribe from SLML-L

Send an e-mail message to the Administrative Address.

Leave the Subject field blank.

In the body of the message, type: unsubscribe slml-l.

Do not add your name to this message.

Vacation Commands

You can stop receiving e-mail during your vacation without unsubscribing to the list.

Stopping e-mail

Send an e-mail message to the Administrative Address.

Leave the Subject field blank.

In the body of the message, type: set slml-l nomail.

Resume e-mail

Send an e-mail message to the Administrative Address.

Leave the Subject field blank.

In the body of the message, type: set slml-l mail.
