From the SLML President

On March 4, 2005 Jennifer Plaat, Cheryle Cann and I went to the Radisson in Clayton. The Radisson is where MCMLA 2006 will be held. I was thrilled. The last time I was there the ballroom was under construction so I had to picture in my mind what it would look like finished. Other parts of the hotel were being rehabbed. Now the ballroom and other meeting space are finished and the space will be just right for us to hold MCMLA2006. The hotel is almost finished with rehabbing all of the sleeping rooms, painting and carpeting. SLML will have a great place to extend St. Louis hospitality to our MCMLA colleagues in 2006.

The Programming, Registration and Exhibitors Committees have been working hard to put together an exciting meeting. On Friday, May 6, 2005 all the MCMLA2006 committees along with the SLML board will be meeting in the American Association of Orthodontists' boardroom to share our plans and to continue our planning. It is not too late to become a member of a committee. Contact the MCMLA2006 committee chairs to become involved:

As the SLML year comes to a close I want to remind all members of activities that I hope you will attend. The annual Awards program will be held in April. The annual Business meeting will be held in June. Dates for these events will be announced on the listserv and the SLML website. I hope to see all members at these events.

I want to thank all SLML members for their participation in SLML. Board members and committee chairs do a lot of work to keep SLML going. As we gear up for MCMLA2006, many more SLML members have stepped up to the plate (could not resist the baseball analogy since Spring training has begun) to contribute to what will be another successful MCMLA meeting hosted by SLML. Thanks to all SLML members who volunteer their time and talent for the benefit of all SLML members.
