Membership Information
What is SLML?
SLML is a local professional organization of individuals and organizations in the health science fields within the St. Louis area and from the State of Missouri. The mission of SLML is to:
- Promote excellence in the professional achievement and leadership of its members by offering appropriate educational and learning opportunities.
- Foster the exchange of ideas and information among SLML members. link.
- Promote the value of health sciences librarians, especially within our geographic area.
Membership to SLML
Membership to SLML is open to anyone working or interested in the health sciences. SLML is one of the local chapters within the MidContinental Medical Libraries Association (MCMLA) under the Medical Library Association (MLA).
SLML membership is separate from MCMLA and MLA—you can be a member of all three organizations.
The membership year is January to December and dues are $20.00 per year.
How Do I Join SLML?
Interested persons should complete the membership form. The membership form can be completed online, then printed out OR printed out and completed by hand. The completed form should be mailed to the Membership Chair along with a check for $20.00.
