Board Meeting Minutes,
12/11/01

Gaibrielle Carrera, President, called the SLML Board Meeting to order at 2:45 on 12/11/02.

Members present were Saundra Brenner, Cheryle Cann, Cindy Fedders, Bruce Gardham, Kathy Mullen, Sylvia Toombs and Polly Cummings

The Treasurer's report was distributed.

The minutes of the previous meeting were read and corrected.

Kathy Mullen, Chair of the Continuing Education Committee, reported that the next CE course, Palmtop Computers in the Library, will be on January 9, 2002 from 9:00 -1:30, at St. John's Mercy Medical Center. Twelve have registered, and up to 27 can be accommodated.

There were no reports from these committees: Program, Archives.

The Strategic Planning Committee has had one meeting, but nothing is ready to report.

Gabby reported for the Communications Committee that she has discussed the Website with Russ Monika. We are still at Washington University, but Russ can help us set up on Yahoo. The probable cost would be $20.00 per month.

Gabby reported that Logo #1 received the most votes. The designer will
transfer to Phil Tilghman all necessary design formats.

Cindy Fedders reported about 65 have renewed membership.

There being no new business, the meeting was adjourned.
